FRANCE: Danone Completes Frucor Sale

Groupe Danone has announced that it has completed the sale of drinks unit Frucor to Japanese brewer Suntory Limited for over E600m in cash. Frucor was operated by Danone Asia, and operates in New Zealand and Australia.

The divestment is part of Danone’s plan to focus on natural mineral water- and spring water-based beverages. The group said the move will allow it to focus on its core business growth opportunities.
