BRAZIL: Carrefour Converts More Hypermarkets to ‘New Generation’ Concept

Carrefour has relaunched six of its hypermarkets in Brazil after converting them to its ‘New Generation’ concept.  The group now has 62 outlets operating under the concept, which was first launched in 2015.

The concept involves an “innovative approach to architecture”, and features changes to the fresh produce area (offering a panoramic view of the items on sale, with specialist staff in each section), the addition of a café (which serves drinks and snacks), and the introduction of 4,000 new products.
