ITALY: Esselunga Said To Be Studying Possible Bids

Esselunga is reportedly considering selling itself, and is said to have appointed Citigroup as an adviser to review expressions of interest. Esselunga is Italy’s third-largest supermarket chain, and generated revenues of €7.3bn last year.
