Anheuser-Busch InBev and Starbucks have signed a deal covering the latter’s Teavana brand of ready-to-drink teas in the US.
The deal will see Anheuser-Busch produce, bottle and distribute Teavana products to US retailers in partnership with its wholesalers. The first such products are expected to be available in the first half of 2017.
The move is part of Starbucks’ growing ambitions for the store-retail market, and also offers AB InBev additional revenue in the key US market.
Starbucks already has a tie-up with PepsiCo to market, sell, and distribute its ready-to-drink coffee products in the US. Meanwhile, PepsiCo and Unilever have a tie-up to market the Lipton ready-to-drink teas.
