Ahold Delhaize has announced two changes to its senior management team, marking the first major reshuffle since its merger was completed.
The group said that James McCann, head of the Ahold USA operations, has resigned in order to move out of full-time executive work and focus on non-executive and advisory roles. The group said he will “remain available to provide an appropriate hand over and transition through 30 April, 2017”.
McCann will be succeeded by Kevin Holt, currently CEO of Delhaize America. Following that move, Delhaize America will report on an interim basis to Frans Muller, Deputy CEO of Ahold Delhaize. Both Holt and Muller will assume their new accountabilities effective immediately, and will continue to report to Group CEO Dick Boer.
