US: Kroger Announces New President At Houston Division

Kroger has announced that Bill Breetz is stepping down as President of its Houston division, effective 26 August, after 44 years with the group.

Breetz, who was President of the Southwest division till it was split into two last year, will be succeeded by Marlene Stewart, currently President of the Dillons division. In turn, Stewart will be succeeded by Colleen Juergensen, currently VP of Merchandising at the Smith’s division.

Separately, Kroger has promoted Pam Matthews to the post of President of its QFC division, taking over from Dennis Gibson, who recently became President of its King Soopers/City Market division.
