US: Regulator Set To Approve AB InBev-SABMiller Deal?

The U.S. Justice Department is reportedly set to conditionally approve Anheuser-Busch InBev’s acquisition of SABMiller in June.

According to Bloomberg News, which cited unnamed sources close to the matter, the regulator may lay down conditions such as limiting the merged entity’s ownership of distributors, a move that would help craft brewers.

The deal has already received antitrust approval from the EU, and conditional approval from South Africa and Australia.
