VIETNAM: E-mart Unveils $200m Investment Plans

E-Mart, South Korea’s largest discounter, has announced plans to invest $200m on its operations in Vietnam.

E-Mart said it will invest the money over the next four years to build new supermarkets and commercial facilities in Ho Chinh Minh City.  The group noted: “HCM City will be the base in our efforts to enlarge the Vietnamese market”.

The group has previously said it wants to open 52 outlets in the country by 2020.
