Leading loose leaf tea brand Ahmad Tea has secured a listing in Ocado for its new Dessert Tea Collection. The range, inspired by sorbets, cakes and soufflés, will be available from 1 September in six different dessert-inspired flavours, with three black tea varieties: Strawberry Velvet Cake, Pear & Cinnamon Strudel, Moroccan Orange Slice, and three green tea varieties: Citrus & Mint Sorbet, Strawberry Basil Coulis and Mango & Lychee Soufflé.
Packed in loose leaf pyramids, the group said that each blend has been specially crafted by its master tea tasters and then tried and tested with UK consumers to ensure a positive reception in the market.
Dr Ali Afshar, Group Director and General Manager of Ahmad Tea, said: “2016 is a big year for Ahmad Tea in the UK, with the launch of our innovative Dessert Tea Collection into Ocado. We believe that Ahmad Tea is ideally positioned to serve the growing appetite for quality speciality tea, and those consumers looking for new taste experiences”.

Leaning on our belief that everyone deserves great quality tea, there is still a wealth of opportunity to be had, and we’re looking to enhance our reach even further over the coming years.”
Ahmad Tea currently holds 2% of global market share with annual sales in the UK exceeding £8m in retail and £3.6m in trade.
