The JimJams brand has secured its first listing with Tesco, which will see it being stocked in more than 500 of the retailer’s stores.
The Tesco deal complements existing deals for JimJams Milk Chocolate spread and JimJams Hazelnut Chocolate Spread in Holland & Barrett and Ocado.
JimJams produces award-winning chocolate spreads which contain 83% less sugar than rivals and are gluten free. It offers two variants – Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut Chocolate. The brand also produces reduced sugar jam in several variants.
Founded by former IT worker Kevin Bath, who quit his City job to support the fight against obesity and tooth decay, it was the first brand to be certified by Sugarwise. Bath noted: “All I’ve ever wanted since day one is to be able to offer parents and their children a healthier and tastier alternative to other chocolate spreads on the market. Thankfully we’ve managed to slash the sugar content while also creating something which has won two Great Taste Awards.”
