The 5,000 sq. ft. store, which occupies the site of a former Little Chef outlet, combines a SPAR convenience offer with Greggs, Subway and Insomnia coffee franchises. The store marks a new partnership with the Insomnia brand.
Geoff Hallam, MD of Blakemore Retail, noted: “The new site has involved more than 12 months of planning and significant investment from the company as part of an on-going programme of investment across our stores.” The opening created full- and part-time jobs for 40 local staff.
In addition to a wide range of everyday essentials, the SPAR offers a comprehensive hot and cold food-to-go range and fresh self-serve Costa Coffee. It offers seating for up to 114 customers with a mix of internal coffee shop style seating and picnic benches to the front and rear of the forecourt.
