Lidl Recalls Three Products Due To Labelling Error

Lidl UK has issued a recall on three products after allergens contained in the lines were not made clear in English on the labels.

The discounter is asking shoppers to return its Bavarian Style Smoked Cheese with Ham, Bread Baking Mix and Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts to its stores for a full refund. The products contain wheat, rye, barley (gluten), milk or hazelnuts which pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to one of these allergens which were not mentioned in English on the label.

Last month, Lidl was forced to recall its tinned herring fillets because their packaging did not warn shoppers that they may contain fish! And back in March, Aldi was forced to recall a range of snacks, biscuits and sweets made by Baketime Ltd., on the grounds that the foods had been produced in unhygienic conditions.
