Big 4 Should Promote Healthy Foods To Compete With Discounters; Supermarkets Hit Back At Which? Claims

Following yesterday’s publication of research by Which? showing that the majority (53%) of promotions at the major supermarkets are for less healthy food and drink, one retail commentator has suggested that the Big 4 supermarkets need to move away from promoting unhealthy items to boost demand and instead position themselves as ‘responsible retailers’.
