Sales of food and drink at UK foodservice outlets grew at nearly 3% last year, well ahead of the 0.1% decline in the value sold in grocery stores. And, in recent ShopperVista research, 80% of shoppers said they will treat themselves in the year ahead, primarily by eating or drinking out.
