Tesco has announced that former Mead Johnson Nutrition CEO Steve Golsby will join its Board as an additional independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 October.
He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Mead Johnson Nutrition, the US listed infant nutrition company, and was a Non-Executive Director of spirits firm Beam prior to its acquisition by Suntory in 2014. Golsby is also an advisor to seafood firm Thai Union Group.
He was previously President and CEO of Mead Johnson Nutrition, and prior to that held senior executive positions with Bristol Myers Squibb and Unilever. Tesco said that Golsby has broad international experience, and significant management experience in South East Asia having lived and worked there for many years. In addition to his general management experience, he has a strong background in consumer marketing.
