CANADA: Loblaw Looking To Sell Fuel Stations Business

Loblaw has said it is looking to sell its fuel stations across Canada, as it looks to focus on its core grocery operations.

The group operates 212 filling stations across the country, and said that although they continue to deliver strong, stable cash flows, the right strategic partner would help to “elevate” the business. The outlets across attached to 20% of its grocery stores across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Yukon.

Loblaw did not offer a price tag, or any other details, but said it will “engage potential buyers”.
