Gallo Family Vineyards will next month be introducing price-marked labels to its best-selling White Zinfandel and White Grenache varietals across the wholesale channel.
The brand stated that the new peelable labels displaying the RRP of £6.49 aim to not only help price consistency across the market but also create on-shelf stand-out and in turn drive sales.
Gallo Family Vineyards White Zinfandel and Gallo Family Vineyards White Grenache are two of the top five performing rosés in the UK, which combined sell 13 bottles in the UK every minute.
“With 85% of rosé sold in the UK priced under £7, it’s important to highlight our approachable price point to both retailers and consumers. This will allow our customers to increase their rotation as well as boost their bottom line,” said Mark Stammers, Sales Director UK & Ireland at E&J Gallo Winery.
NAM Implications:
- One way of providing pricing comfort for brand owners…
- Gallo’s initiative a pointer for others?
