WH Smith has opened the first UK store of InMotion, the specialist travel banner it acquired in 2018.
InMotion sells headphones, power, and other technology accessories and is the biggest airport-based digital accessories retailer in North America. It has more than 125 outlets in the US.
The new UK branch is located at Leeds Bradford Airport, which handles four million international passengers annually.
Toby Keir, MD of WH Smith Travel, noted: “We are excited to bring the successful InMotion brand to UK passengers for the first time. Having partnered with Leeds Bradford Airport for several years, we are proud to take this step with them … InMotion will strengthen our presence in UK travel retail and provide a unique shopping experience for our customers.”
The group has not said if it plans to open more such stores in the UK.
