Asda received 92 gongs at the recent Quality Food and Drink Awards, including Retailer of the Year.
The awards mark a key moment for Asda’s own label product range, which it has focused on improving as part of its turnaround strategy. As well as Retailer of the Year, Asda also claimed Chilled Retailer of the Year, Bakery Retailer of the Year, and Drinks Retailer of the Year at the awards ceremony in London last week.
Paul Gillow, Asda’s Vice President Own Brand, commented: “The ‘Q’ on products is the most recognisable mark of excellence for retailers so we’re really proud that so many of our products are worthy winners….As we head into December, these awards really are the icing on our Christmas cake.”
