Kingfisher announced the appointment of Sue Harries as its Group E-Commerce Director.
Sue joins from the home improvement group’s Screwfix subsidiary where she has served for 15 years, most recently as Director of E-Commerce.
During her time at Screwfix, Harries was said to be integral to the growth of its digital proposition. Online sales increased by 80% during her tenure as Director of E-Commerce and over a third of all Screwfix sales are now transacted online.
In the new role, her responsibilities will be to “significantly” drive e-commerce sales across the Group.
JJ Van Oosten, Chief Customer and Digital Officer at Kingfisher, said: “She has played a key part in growing Screwfix’s digital channels, and now the full group will benefit from her drive and expertise.”
Harries added: “Our customers love shopping in our stores and online, so providing a seamless experience across all of our digital channels is really important. We achieved this at Screwfix and I’m excited to build on this success in my new group role.
“My priority is to create a diverse team with the right balance of skills and talent to drive our digital capabilities and e-commerce sales forward, together with our retail banners.”
