The convenience stores on Sainsbury’s petrol forecourts are being reopened after safety measures were introduced to guard against coronavirus.
At the start of the lockdown, the supermarket group closed all its forecourt stores, introducing payment booths and urging customers to pay at pump wherever possible.
More than 100 stores will now be back in operation by the end of the week after safety screens and social distancing measures were installed. The rest of its 300 forecourt stores will be reopening over the next couple of weeks.
