Reckitt Benckiser (RB) has appointed Sami Naffakh as its new Chief Supply Officer (CSO).
He has more than 25 years of experience in FMCG companies, including Unilever, Danone and Estee Laude. He also previously worked at RB in leadership roles between 2003 and 2009.
Naffakh’s most recent position was at Arla Foods, where he was Executive Vice President and headed up supply chain operations globally. This included managing Arla’s manufacturing and logistics operations worldwide, global procurement of goods and services, as well as support functions such as quality and food safety, health and safety, and sustainability. In addition, he led a transformation of its supply chain from farm to retailer, with the goal of increasing competitiveness and sustainability.
Laxman Narasimhan, RB’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “I’m very pleased that Sami has decided to rejoin RB at this pivotal time for our company. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the global supply chain teams have worked tirelessly to step up for our consumers and our customers.
“As we continue to ‘navigate our new normal’, we must also start to focus on our medium-to-longer-term supply needs across the entire, diverse portfolio. We will build on our momentum and invest to create a highly capable, global supply function to meet our strategic ambition of transforming the business and positioning RB for sustainable growth.”
