Asda has launched an ad campaign today with the new tag line ‘Get the Asda Price Feeling’.
The new wording replaces the supermarket’s previous tag line of ‘That’s Asda Price’ that has been featured in its advertising since September 2020. Asda stated that the new words aim to show that its Asda Price motto means more to customers than just value.
Preyash Thakrar, the retailer’s Chief Customer Officer, commented: “When our customers talk about Asda Price, it goes without saying that that they are talking about great value, but we know that they are also talking about great service, great quality products and great colleagues. Get the Asda Price Feeling encapsulates all of that and describes how we can help to make a difference to our customers, communities and colleagues every day.”
Created by Asda and its agency Havas, the 40-second TV ad (see below) will air across ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 this evening. The campaign will also run across radio, print, social, .com, CRM and in Asda stores.
Thakrar added: “September is traditionally a time of year when our customers are settling back into a routine after the summer – they enjoy more nights in as the winter months draw closer and start thinking ahead to the festive season. ‘Get the Asda Price Feeling’ puts the fun back in to routine, showing that great products and great prices come hand-in-hand at Asda.”
The ad also features TV chef Gino D’Acampo, who will be launching a range of 60 frozen, chilled, and ambient products in Asda stores this September.
NAM Implications:
- If ‘great service, great quality products and great colleagues’ is coming across to shoppers…
- ….and given its larger forecourt footprint…
- …Asda will need watching by other mults and discounters.
- Time to change your Asda gear?
