Unitas Wholesale Upgrades ‘Plan For Profit’ Offering

Unitas Wholesale has improved the Plan for Profit offering for independent retailers with the introduction of various updates on its website.

First launched in 2012, the Plan for Profit initiatives offers retailers free business advice in the form of core range guidance, planograms, category insights, NPD, legislation updates and tools such as its profit-on-return calculator.

The latest website updates include a new planogram layout that aims to make the plans easier to navigate and view online. Retailers can search for their chosen store planogram by region, product type and shelf size, with options to print and download.

The website has also introduced a new category insights section where retailers can discover tips on how to get the most out of key product categories, seasonal events and shopper missions with the latest insights and market data from Plan for Profit and its supplier partners.

Finally, the introduction of a new search facility has made finding information on brands, products or key seasonal activities easier.

The buying group said: “These are just some of the ways Plan for Profit is committed to continually developing and improving this leading retail initiative, providing additional support to Unitas Wholesale members and their retailer customers.”

NAM Implications:
  • ‘Plan for profit’ always seemed like a no-brainer…
  • …especially given the potential cost for independents of generating ad hoc equivalents.
  • And these refinements make it even more useful.
  • Worth a try…
