Canney joined Innocent as UK & Ireland Managing Director in 2015 and has been the company’s European MD since 2019. During this time, he helped “grow the brand to be the biggest healthy drinks company in Europe”. Prior to joining Innocent, Canney held senior roles at Coca-Cola Enterprises GB, where he was VP Sales and Marketing, and Cadbury as UK Grocery Sales Director.

Commenting on his appointment, Canney said: “I feel hugely privileged to take on this new role as we get ourselves ready for our next phase of growth. I am committed to driving the business forward with purpose and people at the heart.”

Lamont, who will take up his new post at the helm of Tony’s Chocolonely in the autumn, added: “As my fantastic journey at Innocent comes to an end later this year, I couldn’t be more delighted that Nick is taking up the reigns from me and I know that he and the whole innocent team will continue to take the business from strength to strength in line with our purpose, vision and values.”
