Britvic Reports Q3 Revenue Boost Due To Higher Volumes

Britvic has reported a rise in revenue for its fiscal third quarter, helped by volume growth and pricing moves.  The soft drinks manufacturer added that it remains on track to meet its targets for the full year.

For the three months to 30 June 2022, revenue rose by 11.2% to 431.1m.  The results were helped by a 9.2% revenue rise in the UK, a 24.3% surge in Brazil, and a 12.7% increase in other International markets.

Britvic said the growth was indicative of a “more normalised environment”, resulting in improvement in the At-Home and Out-of-Home channels in the UK. In Brazil, results were helped by expansion of its brands, while it also saw growth in France and Ireland.

Simon Litherland, Chief Executive of Britvic, noted: “We are encouraged by trading performance year to date although we expect the uncertain environment to continue to weigh on consumer confidence. We remain focused on mitigating the impact of inflationary pressures on our business; soft drinks is a resilient category, within which we have a well-invested business, a flexible operating model and a robust supply chain.”

For the year-to-date, group revenue has grown by 15.7% to £1.15bn, with a 15.4% increase in the UK, an 18.4% rise in Brazil, and a 15.5% jump in other International markets.
