Wild has announced it will launch into 750 Tesco stores this week, expanding the total retail footprint of the sustainable personal care brand to 3,500 stores across the UK and 3,900 internationally.
Launched in 2019, the start-up pioneered the UK’s first plastic-free refillable deodorant with a mission to remove single-use plastics from everyday bathroom items.
Products available in Tesco stores will include Wild’s refillable cases, which will be available in three colours; Aqua, Pink and Purple. The cases will be complemented by three refill scents; Fresh Cotton, Jasmine & Mandarin and Coconut & Vanilla.
Available across the UK, consumers can purchase a Wild Starter Pack for £12.99 and Scent Refills for £5.99.
Charlie Bowes-Lyon, co-founder of Wild, said: “Securing a listing with the largest retailer in the UK is a huge win for us. It shows that our product is resonating with a wider, more mainstream audience and that people are becoming more and more aware of the impact the products they use are having.
“At Wild, our mission is to eliminate plastic-waste in the bathroom, which is why we created our refillable, natural deodorant in the first place. We firmly believe that every day, small changes, like switching from a traditional deodorant to Wild, can really have a big impact.
“With this listing, we hope to help fans of our product access it easier, while introducing it to others.”
Wild’s products are already available at other retailers, including Sainsbury’s, Boots, Waitrose, and Holland & Barrett, and Ocado.
Jilly Mabbitt, health & beauty buying manager of Tesco, commented: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be stocking Wild in 750 of our stores nationwide. This listing allows eco-conscious consumers easier access to their everyday products, while introducing the products to others.
“By stocking plastic-free, reusable products, we are helping to normalise them – something that is important to us. At Tesco, we are committed to future-proofing and protecting the planet as best we can; all while keeping items affordable and accessible.”
