Mars Food-owned brand Dolmio has introduced a new range of pasta sauces, offering bold flavours inspired by international cuisines.
From mild to fiery, the three ‘Intensify’ sauces are rolling out in Sainsbury’s, with Asda, Morrisons and Tesco to follow in June and July.
Dolmio pointed to research showing that shoppers were looking for more intense flavours in the pasta sauce aisle. The Intensify range includes Creamy Garlic & Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Smoked Paprika & Chilli, and Sun-ripened Tomato & Chilli.
The brand stated that with nearly 80% of adults seeing internationally inspired foods and flavours as a good way to experience and explore new cultures, world foods have been staging a takeover in the sauce aisle.
