Kids fruit snacking brand BEAR has added two new products to its lineup with its new range of Fruit Treasures. The launch aims to help broaden the brand’s appeal among a wider age range to include children aged three and up.
BEAR Fruit Treasures are available in two flavours – Tropical (Mango, Pineapple & Passionfruit) and Berry (Strawberry & Blueberry). The dried fruit and vegetable snacks contain no added sugar and are made using real fruit. The coin-shaped pieces also have numbers on them to encourage numeracy.
Matt Kitteridge, senior innovation manager at Urban Fresh Foods Ltd, commented: “We see the launch of BEAR Fruit Treasures as filling a gap in the kids snacking market by offering more options for toddlers. In doing this, we are set to retain parents in the category for longer via snacks suitable for an increased age range, in addition to adding value to baby sub-categories.
“Our Berry & Tropical Fruit Treasure recipes were developed to tap into mainstream fruit flavours that appeal to kids, while also recognising that as young cubs get that little bit older, they want to start discovering new tastes and flavour combinations too.”
The launch will be supported by a shopper marketing campaign and social media activity.
BEAR Fruit Treasures are available in a multipack of 5 x 20g with an MRRP of £2.80.
