Pulses and grains brand, Merchant Gourmet, is extending its offering with the launch of a new super grain: Wholegrain Spelt.
The brand noted that its latest launch offers health-concious shoppers an ancient super grain which contains a higher percent of protein, fibre and nutrients than rice or couscous.
Richard Peake, Managing Director at Merchant Gourmet, said: “As a simply cooked product, our Wholegrain Spelt acts as a conduit for flavour, allowing our shoppers the flexibility to experiment and add their own flavours. Merchant Gourmet’s new ready-to-eat Wholegrain Spelt is rolling out in Sainsbury’s with an RRP of £2.00 for a 250g pouch.
