Booker is investing £5m in a promotion to help convenience retailers boost trade during one of the quietest months for the sector.
The campaign features more than 20 deals, including 12 BOGOFS and five half price deals, as well as Jacks own label promotions. Alongside this, there are three frozen meal deals.
There is also improved pricing on fresh everyday essentials such as bread, milk and eggs. This includes an over a 30% saving on its Produce Fresh 4 promotion.
The campaign, which ends 30 January, is being supported with POS, which has been offered free of charge to all Londis, Premier, Budgens & Family Shopper retailers.
In addition, Booker has more than 100 fresh and frozen everyday low prices and over 200 everyday low prices across alcohol for January and February.
Colm Johnson, Managing Director – Retail, said: “It is essential that retailers can rely on Booker to deliver the best choice, price, and service for them, while still delivering high margins.
“This strong value offering for Premier through a usually quiet month shows we will continue to be committed and offer excellent value for not only the shoppers but also our retailers.”
NAM Implications:
- Obviously a good move for the retailer and shopper….
- …and a boost for private label.
- Begging the question of how brands will manage the resulting increase in the brand premium.
