Tesco has become the first supermarket in the UK to stock 818 Tequila, a drink brand founded by media personality and entrepreneur Kendall Jenner.
Named after Kendall’s Calabasas area code, 818 Tequila Blanco boasts flavours of agave and vanilla, complemented by undertones of tropical and citrus fruit.
Brandon Hemmings, Assistant Buyer for Spirits at Tesco, commented: “Tequila is really on trend right now, and in 2023 Tesco sold over 1.2 million bottles of it – a 28% increase year on year. 818 is one of the brands that’s helped to develop a new generation of tequila fans, but up until now it’s only been available in a select number of high-end stores in the UK. I’m really pleased that we’re now bringing the multi-award-winning spirit to Tesco stores nationwide, to help customers looking to explore and enjoy the agave-based spirit category.”
