Parfetts Makes Appointment To Drive Growth Of The Local Format

Parfetts has promoted Leona Starzec to a Key Account Manager role to support the growth of its off-license symbol fascia, The Local.

She will report to John O’Neill, the group’s retail sales controller.

Steve Moore, head of retail at Parfetts, commented: “Leona brings a wealth of experience in the off-licence sector, and we’re confident that she will provide industry-leading levels of support for our current retailers. She is passionate about the industry and will help new retailers benefit from the flexible and margin-focused service offered by The Local.”

Starzec will support retailers in areas such as category advice and consumer missions, to drive sales and profit for retailers. The network has grown strongly over the past 12 months by attracting retailers from other fascias.

Parfetts launched The Local to sit alongside its Go Local symbol group. All retailers in The Local fascia benefit from a 2% rebate, free delivery and regular promotional offers across a wide range of beers, wines and spirits.

Starzec said: “Parfetts has worked closely with the off-licence sector to develop a fascia that is aligned to their needs and gives shoppers the choice and value they need. I’ve seen a huge amount of interest since I joined the company, and I look forward to helping the fascia go from strength to strength.”
