THIS, the plant-based food company, has launched their latest innovation – THIS Isn’t Chicken Shawarma.
Available in ASDA from 8 April, Waitrose from 1 May, and Co-op from 6 May, THIS Isn’t Chicken Shawarma (170g/ RRP £3.30) is made using soy and fava bean proteins, with a blend of spices. Offering “different hyper-realistic shapes, and a fibrous texture achieved through the company’s innovative extrusion technology”, they can be pan fried until they turn golden brown and crisp up in 6-8 mins.
The launch, which builds on the success of their new Isn’t Chicken Pieces recipe, leveraged the brand’s “chicken-iest” tasting vegan chicken pieces to create the ultimate shawarma experience.
