PepsiCo Europe has appointed Paula Marconi as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Marconi joins the drinks and snacks giant from Kraft Heinz, where she most recently held the role of Continental Europe CMO. Prior to that, Marconi held a number of senior marketing roles in several multinational businesses, including seven years at AB InBev as VP of Marketing and twelve years at Unilever working in its personal care divisions.
PepsiCo stated that Marconi’s role will play a critical part in delivering its business strategy for Europe through sustainable profitable category growth, innovation and brand building.
She is taking over the position from Ian Ellington, who is moving to a separate part of the business within the global marketing team.
Marconi commented: “PepsiCo as a global brand is constantly transforming and reimagining its products and processes to stay at the forefront of innovation. I’m excited to be joining such an ambitious and vibrant company and can’t wait to help bring our vision to life for customers and consumers across Europe.”
PepsiCo Europe CEO, Silviu Popovici, added: “We are delighted to welcome Paula Marconi as the new Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo Europe. Paula’s extensive experience and innovative approach will be invaluable as we aim to strengthen our market presence and continue delivering exceptional results across Europe.”
