The British Brands Group has started to track innovation trends in UK grocery over successive years and is launching the findings for the first three years (2019-2021) on the afternoon of 28 May 2024 in London and online.
The research examines the relative performance of everyday and distinctive innovations across 89 categories over the three years, along with their relative performance over time. It provides further evidence on the link between brand innovation activity and growth.
At the launch, Professor Oliver Koll of Europanel will discuss the findings, including who is doing the innovating, what are the main innovation themes, who is stocking the innovative products, and how well do they do.
