Before reallocating your AVS budget to an Amazon agency or FTE, consider this:
AVS may be the trade term with the highest ROI.
Think about it – what other investments give you access to Amazon to:
- Plan and set up price promotions
- Forecast seasonal ordering demand
- Resolve compliance-related catalogue suppressions
- Access cost-saving initiatives (Direct Import, FTL, etc.),
- Respond to errors that would otherwise lead to weeks of lost sales?
You might be frustrated with AVS service quality, but it can be a lifeline if Amazon blocks your catalogue overnight.
So instead of removing AVS, reduce your investment exposure in your annual vendor negotiation instead.
This still leaves budget for additional headcount or agency support.
