British brand The Groovy Food Company is launching its Organic Date Syrup (340g, RRP £3) in 538 Holland & Barrett stores across the UK.
The organic alternative to refined sugars and syrups is low-fat and natural, made from 100% dates. It will sit beside other natural sweeteners from The Groovy Food Company in Holland & Barrett, including Light Agave Nectar and Dark Agave Nectar.
The launch in the health & wellness retailer follows increased demand for alternatives to sugar and artificial sweeteners. Date syrup has proven to be a popular alternative amongst health-conscious consumers due to its credentials compared to similar products such as maple syrup, honey and sugar. Just one tablespoon of date syrup contains more than twice the potassium, calcium, and magnesium levels of maple syrup or honey.
