Deciding On Concessions With Amazon

Successful Amazon vendors have one thing in common: They don’t rely on hope in annual vendor negotiations (AVNs).

If you want to improve your investment position, you need to understand what concessions you’re willing to make.

Whether it’s:

  • Delisting products
  • Pausing advertising investments
  • Removing promotional budgets

You can’t just close your eyes and cross your fingers, hoping your Vendor Manager will eventually go away with their Net PPM requests.

It won’t happen.

So whether you like it or not:

Prepare your nuclear option. In other words, know where you draw a red line and what to do if Amazon reaches it.
