Panadol Introduces Market-First Liquid Capsule Paracetamol

Haleon’s Panadol brand is launching the first-ever liquid capsule paracetamol in the UK.

Panadol-CapsulesExpanding its portfolio of tablets and soluble formats, the new Panadol Capsule is designed to provide pain sufferers with rapid absorption and a targeted pain relief action.

Michalis Karatzas, Senior Brand Manager, Panadol, commented: “We are aware that the majority of consumers prioritise speed and efficacy of relief when looking to relieve pain. With a commitment to continuous innovation and evolution to meet consumer needs, we are proud to introduce the first-ever liquid capsule paracetamol in Great Britain.

“Offering up to 40% faster absorption compared to standard paracetamol, this new format provides consumers an alternative to traditional tablets. For retailers, this launch represents an exciting opportunity to drive incremental category sales with a liquid capsule option.”

To drive awareness of the new Panadol Capsules, the launch will be supported by a £2m investment in media activation, including TV, video on demand, digital, paid search and e-commerce, starting from April.

The product will be available across grocery, convenience and wholesale channels from February at RRP/MSRP £4.75 (incl. VAT) for a 16-pack.
