Cheddar brand Pilgrims Choice is set to expand its range with the launch of ‘Inclusions’ – a line-up of blended cheeses.
Tapping into the latest food trends, the range combines Pilgrims Choice’s Mature Cheddar with blended herbs, spices, vegetables and seasonings.
Available in block (RRSP: £3.00), grated (RRSP: £2.75) and sliced (RRSP: £2.75) formats, the ‘Inclusions’ range will feature four flavour combinations: The Italian one – Garlic & Herb, The Mexican one – Smoked Paprika, The American one – Hot Honey, and The British one – Caramelised Onion.
The range will start rolling out in Tesco stores from March, with more major listings to come later in the year.
The launch of Pilgrims Choice ‘Inclusions’ follows a category and consumer insights project undertaken by brand owner Ornua Foods UK. The research showed that when it comes to cheese, some 50% of consumers want to explore new flavour experiences without compromising on use and speed when it comes to preparing meals. The company stated that the ‘Inclusions’ range is aimed at inspiring consumers to explore their more adventurous side when creating quick and easy flavour-packed meals.
