The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a recall on a chocolate cereal made by Rude Health over concerns it might contain insects.
The food safety body stated that the Rude Health Chocolate Crunch Granola sold by Tesco, Ocado and other grocery retailers may be unsafe to eat.
The 400g boxes that are thought to be contaminated with insects have a best before date of 24 October 2025 and batch code of PD24102024.
“If you have bought the product, we advise you not to consume it,” the FSA warned. Please return the product to the store for a full refund (with or without a receipt).”
However, on its website, Rude Health claims the insects “do not pose a health risk, as they are not harmful to humans”.
