Pukka has unveiled a new innovation – the Cheeseburger Pie – a unique fusion that taps into one of the hottest foodie trends, combining the best of pies and burgers in one meal option.
The product contains mini beef burgers with melted cheese, a tomato sauce, a burger sauce, diced onions and gherkins, all wrapped in Pukka’s signature puff pastry.
A statement from the brand said: “As a leader in food innovation, Pukka continues to stay ahead of emerging trends, bringing exciting new flavours to the pie category. With social media fuelling the rise of viral hybrid creations like cheeseburger tacos and salads, consumer demand for bold, indulgent fusions has never been higher. The new Cheeseburger Pie is a game-changer, offering a twist on two of the nation’s favourite comfort foods and reinforcing Pukka’s reputation as a trendsetter.
“Set to disrupt the category, this launch builds on Pukka’s track record of successful limited-edition innovation, which has already added £1.4m in value to the category over the past year. With 64% of spend coming from new shoppers, particularly 18–44-year-olds. Pukka’s Cheeseburger Pie presents retailers with a fresh opportunity to drive incremental sales.”
The Pukka Cheeseburger Pie (205g, RSP: £2.00) is rolling out in Morrisons and Tesco.
