Del Monte Moves Into Frozen Treat Market

Del Monte, the fresh produce giant and the UK’s leading canned fruit brand, is expanding its reach into the frozen treat market with the launch of Freeze Pops.

Del-Monte-Freeze-PopsThe new snack is available in two flavours – Pineapple and Mango – with each containing a real fruit content of 22% and only 20 calories. The brand noted that with natural flavours and colours, they are an ideal choice for health-conscious consumers looking for a summer treat or dessert.

The Del Monte Freeze Pops will launch in Sainsbury’s and Iceland from today. Stocked in ambient aisles (Home Baking & Desserts section) in packs of eight (RRP £2), the pops are designed for home freezing.

The launch aims to capitalise on the growing demand for healthier treats and taps into rising consumer interest in fruit-based snacking options.
