Japan’s leading coffee brand, Ueshima Coffee Company, is continuing its rapid expansion in the UK with a new listing in Tesco.
Ueshima’s coffee is rolling out in 580 Tesco stores, including the brand’s best-selling House Blend and Fuji Mountain blends as ground coffee and Fuji Mountain in a whole bean format.
The milestone follows the brand’s UK market entry in 2021 with listings in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, and a further expansion into Morrisons in 2023, in addition to listings on Ocado and Amazon. The Tesco listing comes on the heels of Ueshima releasing its first ready-to-drink canned coffees to the UK market last year.
Louise Tabor, Head of Marketing at Ueshima, UK, commented: “Securing a listing in Tesco represents a major achievement in our commitment to bringing authentic Japanese coffee to UK consumers. We’re excited for even more shoppers to try our coffee and enjoy a taste of Japanese coffee culture at home.”
Ueshima has also recently debuted a new packaging look, which is currently rolling out across all retailers. The new packs feature a modern, sleeker look, with bold colours to help shoppers find their favourite blends on shelf.
