Pladis is adding to its premium McVitie’s snacking range, Signature, with the launch of Dark Chocolate Caramel Rounds.
With caramel on a crunchy biscuit covered in thick dark chocolate, the new line is said to offer a “luxurious, multi-textural snacking experience” that helps retailers make the most of the growth opportunity in afternoon and evening snacking.
“This launch builds on the success of the Signature range, which includes Milk Chocolate Caramel Rounds and Chocolate Cream Swirls – where we’ve hit 9% penetration since last year,” commented Alice Jamieson, Senior Brand Manager, pladis UK&I.
“Signature Milk Chocolate Caramel Rounds has a purchase repeat rate of 34% – the highest performing in the range – and is responsible for 50% of total McVitie’s Signature sales. We also know that dark chocolate is growing by +10% per year, and it is the third most popular flavour in premium treats.

McVitie’s Signature Dark Chocolate Caramel Rounds (RRP £2.00) are rolling out across wholesale, multiple retailers and convenience outlets this month.
