Coca-Cola is reportedly preparing to launch its Cappy juice brand in the UK to meet increasing demand for healthier, more natural soft drinks.
According to trade publication The Grocer, the company has applied to register a trademark for the name and logo of ‘Cappy Lemonade Botanical’ with the Intellectual Property Office under class 32, covering fruit drinks and fruit juices.
Cappy is a fruit-flavoured soft drink brand owned by Coca-Cola, which is available in over 25 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. Coke bottler Coca-Cola HBC describes Cappy products as “top-quality fruit juices, nectars and drinks with original natural flavours, made from fresh, carefully picked fruit”.
Other flavours in the Cappy range include Cappy 100% Pure Orange, Cappy Multivitamin, Cappy Pulpy Grapefruit, and Cappy Lemonade Tasty Lemon.
The Grocer said that UK bottler Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) declined to comment on when Cappy products would be coming to the UK.
