Following on from the rollout of its Crispy Chips product in 2024, Birds Eye is adding Crispy Wedges to its potato range.
The gluten-free Crispy Wedges are uniquely skin-off and unspiced, so they can be seasoned according to taste.
The Birds Eye Chips range is already worth £11.8m, having launched in July last year and quickly become the second-largest frozen chip brand in the market. The brand stated that the launch of Crispy Wedges aims to build on this momentum, tapping into strong consumer demand for wedges – a category that has seen 2% (£826k) value growth over the last year.
Birds Eye Crispy Wedges will be available in Iceland from 25th August and in Tesco from 8th September at £2.50 MRSP, before rolling out more widely later in September.
