Aldi is overhauling its wine aisle, introducing a selection of new bottles ahead of the autumn and winter seasons.
The refreshed lineup combines new discoveries with returning festive favourites, featuring red and white wines ideal for seasonal dishes. A selection of sparkling wines is also included, ready for Christmas celebrations.
Aldi was recently crowned Wine Supermarket of the Year at The People’s Choice Awards and has scooped over 178 medals for quality in the past year alone.
Aldi’s wine expert and Master of Wine, Sam Caporn, noted that the new range is designed to pair with the flavours of the colder months. “As summer fades, it’s time to uncork the flavours of autumn,” she said. “Think medium-bodied reds for cosy evenings, or a tropical Stellenbosch Chardonnay alongside a Sunday roast. And here’s a secret – the Cigales Rosé isn’t just for summer. Its vibrant acidity makes it a surprisingly perfect partner for winter dishes too.”
Top picks from the new range include Specially Selected Stellenbosch Chardonnay (£6.99, 75cl), Specially Selected Cigales Rosado (£8.99, 75cl), Specially Selected Moldovan Rară Neagră (£7.99, 75cl), Specially Selected Pinot Grigio Valdadige DOC (£7.99, 75cl), Specially Selected Terret Blanc (£8.49, 75cl), and Specially Selected Sparkling Wine of England (£9.99, 75cl).
