Doritos Introduces Limited-Edition Stranger Things Range

Doritos has teamed up with the popular Netflix show Stranger Things to launch a limited-edition Black Garlic Dip and party-sized bags.

Doritos Black Garlic DipWith 79% of shoppers drawn to themed products and 69% seeking out limited-edition formats, the new Doritos Black Garlic Dip aims to help retailers “create excitement” in their store by tying into the world of Stranger Things ahead of the final series later this year.

With a “creamy texture and bold flavour profile”, the dip is designed to complement the taste and crunch of Doritos. It will be available in the run-up to the Halloween season, one of the biggest seasonal spikes for savoury snacking.

In addition to Doritos, the Stranger Things-themed pack designs will also be rolling out across Walkers Snacks brands – Monster Munch, Wotsits, Quavers and Squares. The designs will feature characters and graphics from the Upside Down world.

The limited-edition themed packs will be available in PMPs, grab bags, and sharing formats. Doritos is also adding more value to its offering by increasing its party-sized bags from 180g to 270g.

The partnership will be supported with a multimedia marketing campaign, including POS materials to drive in-store visibility, digital assets, OOH, social media, influencer activity, and PR.

The limited-edition themed packs and the Doritos Black Garlic Dip will be available across the grocery, impulse and wholesale channels until the end of November. The packs are available as a large sharing bag (270g – RRP £3.50) and PMP (70g – RRP £1.35), while the dip has an RRP of £2.50 (270g)
